My introduction
My introduction to Ayurveda began while practising yoga, here I was briefly introduced to the three doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha (terms to describe your constitution). It fascinated me that by understanding my own dosha and following simple principles to balance this, I could lead a more healthy and balanced life.
In my 40’s I found myself balancing family life, work and home educating my children I began to realise that I just didn’t feel good. I was lacking energy, not sleeping soundly, self-care was non-existent and my digestion was weak. Fast forward another year or so and I began to experience hormonal imbalances which really threw me. I knew that I needed to take some action.

I started working with an Ayurvedic Practioner who helped me to see that all of these things were not normal and that by making simple diet and lifestyle changes I could feel different and I did! Slowly, I began to understand myself more, my own self care practices evolved, energy and sleep improved and my digestive and hormonal issues were more balanced. Finally, I felt a level of health and happiness that I had not felt before. I wanted to pursue this for my family and share the wisdom of Ayurveda with as many as I could.
This led me to my to studies at the Ayurveda Institute. While studying I found a real connection to Ayurvedic Massage. Already being a Reiki practioner, I understood the healing power of touch and the transfer of energy. This combined with theraputic oils and diet and lifestyle advice to me offered a healing and nurturing environment like no other; allowing a person to return to themselves and experience better balance, health and well- being. I am excited to share this with you now…
